How do I complete my background check?

MDM uses Checkr to run background checks on all missionary applicants. Here is what to expect:

  • You will receive an email invitation from Checkr after your spiritual covering is confirmed. Check your spam or junk folder if you do not see it in your inbox.
  • The background check is completed entirely online through Checkr's secure portal. There is no fee to you.
  • Checkr typically returns results within 1-3 business days.
  • MDM will notify you once your background check is complete and whether it came back clear.

Note: Checkr invitations expire after a set period. If your invitation expires before you complete it, contact info@modernday.org and we will send a new one. Background checks are mandatory and cannot be waived. Your application cannot move forward until your background check is complete and clear.
