How do I pause or deactivate my missionary account?

If you are stepping away from the field temporarily or permanently, please notify MDM as soon as possible. Here is how it works:

Temporary pause:

• Email info@modernday.org with your name, the date you are pausing, and when you expect to return (if known)
• We will mark your account inactive in our system. Your profile page will be removed from public view
• We will need full information about your upcoming plans to determine the handling of any remaining funds in your account
• Your donor relationships will need to be managed -- donors with recurring giving will be notified and their donations cancelled 

Full deactivation:

• Email info@modernday.org to request deactivation
• We will communicate the options related to any remaining funds
• All recurring donations from your donors will be cancelled and donors notified
• Your account and profile will be closed

Note: Please give us as much advance notice as possible -- at least one week before your desired deactivation date. This allows us to process your final payment and notify donors properly. If you deactivate and later want to return to the field with MDM, you will need to reapply.
