What are the requirements to become an MDM missionary?

MDM partners with missionaries who meet the following core requirements:

• Active ministry work: You must be serving in full-time or part-time ministry (minimum approximately 10 hours per week).
• Spiritual covering: You must have a pastor, ministry leader, or organizational staff member from a formal church or nonprofit who can confirm your calling, character, and accountability. This is required -- applications without a verifiable covering cannot be processed.
• US donor base: MDM processes donations from US-based donors and issues US tax receipts. We are not a fit for missionaries whose donor base is entirely outside the United States.
• Background check: All missionaries must pass a standard background check through Checkr. There is no fee to you.
• Application fee: A one-time application fee of $60 is required. Your communications contact will provide payment instructions. Application fees may be waived in certain partnership contexts.
